John Juanda Playing Poker

John Juanda hails from Indonesia her he was born and raised. He didn’t come to the United States until 1990. He came to study and found himself at the Oklahoma University where he was an academic and sporting success. He was a renowned track star at his time at college and went door to door selling bibles to pay for his tuition. He also achieved an MBA at Seattle uni. It was after this that he began to play poker professionally and does so with style.
He is known for his extremely calm demeanour while at the poker table and it is because of his calmness towards the game that has earned him 3 World Series of Poker bracelets. He has also made it to five WSOP final tables.
John Juanda has earned over $9.5 million while playing poker and has no less four world series of poker bracelets. He began playing poker in 1996 and his favourite poker games to play are No Limit Hold’em poker and Pot Limit poker.
It was in 2002 that Juanda was named the Tournament champion of the Year and was runner up in player of the year for card players. He has beat out many famous names in poker such as Jeff Lisandro, Phil Ivey, Jason Gray and Barry Greenstein, all of whom he triumphed to win the Crown Australian Poker Championship in 2006. This notable win netted $1 million in Australian dollars, the exact competition was the Aussie Millions Speed Poker Challenge. That roughly amounts to around $700,000 US dollars and that is a nice sum indeed! Juanda plays his poker now at Full Tilt Poker, and like earlier PokerVids.com profile stars Patrik Antonius and Allen Cunningham.
