Tony Guogo known as Tony G is a nice guy off the poker table and a monster on it. A self described Jekyll and Hyde, he figuratively eats players alive when he plays poker with them.
Born in Lithuania, Tony became a Rubik’s Cube champion! His family soon moved to Australia to avoid the communist regime in Lithuania. Tony is a sort of genius, he was clever and very bright but he lacked focus when at school. He started making money by taking bets on various things and got thrown out of school because of this.
He started playing poker in 1997 in the Crown Casino when it opened its doors in Australia. He took a few trips to Las Vegas when he started playing poker and had a whale of a time. He has lost a lot of money, especially when he was first learning to play poker. He has however, perfected his poker game to the point of hardly ever losing any money.
He uses his wit and his tongue against opponents and brings them down mentally to win a poker game. He isn’t afraid to use his sharp tongue against any other players. Other players may hate him for it, but it wins him games and is all part of the charade of poker.
He may not have won any bracelets at the WSOP yet, but he has taken prize money totalling $2.5 million.
